Students may have noticed posters in their English Classrooms about the “Seven Steps to Writing Success”. Our English teachers have been trained in the Seven Steps program. The Seven Steps are building blocks to great writing. Isolating writing skills into individual steps ensures students don’t get ‘bogged down’ with writing the whole piece. Students gain confidence in each writing skill, and then they pull it all together to become creative and engaging writers. Year 7 and 8 students are responding well to working through the program and they will be incorporating the “Seven Steps” into their writing tasks this term.
