Working Bee

San Clemente Parents & Friends Association

This week at our monthly P & F Meeting conversation was centred on the coming Centenary celebrations. August will be a very busy month for the San Clemente community with the Dominican Pilgrimage on the 9th August, Black and White Centenary Gala Ball on the 19th August and the school Open Day on the 27th August.

The school is expecting hundreds of visitors on August the 27th and a decision was made at the meeting that the P & F could assist the school through holding a working bee on Sunday 6th August. While the school is having some work done in the next school holidays in preparation for the day, there is still areas which could do with a splash of paint and gardens which could be planted or pruned. We would love as many members of our community to help out on this day as possible. It will be a 9am start and lunch will be provided. Make sure you bring your paintbrushes and gardening gloves.

In light of the Centenary celebrations the P & F will not be holding the annual Trivia night this year, instead we encourage members of the community to support the Black and White Centenary Gala Ball. This is a formal occasion of celebration and an opportunity to engage in stories from the history of the school up until present day. Be entertained by talented musician’s all of whom have connections to San Clemente and enjoy a delicious meal at Newcastle City Hall.
