Some weeks ago our Year 10 Marine & Aquaculture students visited Tailor Made Fish Farm as part of their work investigating Aquaculture. They observed how Barramundi were raised from fingerlings to 2kg adults, before being shipped live to restaurants around Australia. Students then tested their angling skills with a fishing trip to Queen's Wharf in Newcastle. For the second year running, our amateur anglers had great success and landed a variety of species. Honourable mentions to Jasper Fraser with a huge leatherjacket and Jasmine Bakker who landed a 40cm flathead. Apart from one unfortunate tailor, all fish were released to fight another day.
